Bill Garret Trio will be performing for the February GJS event.

William Skinner (Bill) Garrett. Born in 1960, Bill’s a native of NW Florida. He grew up fishing, swimming and running the streets of Fort Walton Beach as well as up and down the Emerald Coast. Bill iis a veteran of many bands including long-time favorites, Hubba Hubba. He continues to play with the New Orleans Ramblers, a traditional jazz trio who came together at Commander’s Palace when they had their operation in Destin. Bill has won Beachcomber newspaper’s “best bassist” award more than once as well as “Americana artist” and “lifetime achievement” awards. He plays most genres of music and continues to work with multiple bands in the area. In 2019 Bill released a CD, “Everybody Eats When They Come to My House,” a collection of songs food and drink related. Bill is known for his tastefully tacky Hawaiian shirts and bad jokes, among other things.
