Victor Payano, featuring guitarist Jimmy Ward

The Gulf Jazz Society Concert At The House Of Henry July 29th will include the long awaited appearance of Jimmy Ward, former Blood Sweat, and Tears guitarist, Ward will join sax artist Victor Payano and three-time Grammy award winner Steve Gilmore on Bass.

Victor Payano, Saxophonist, Educator, Composer. Victor played with artists such as Rita Moreno, Tito Puente, Humberto Ramirez, Paquito D’ Rivera, Charlie Palmieri, and Dave Valentín. Victor obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico. In 2002 he earned his Master of Music in Jazz Performance from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. After graduating, Victor moved to Orlando where he taught Music at Sumpter Community College, in Leesburg, Florida. He was a member of The Leesburg Jazz Repertory Orchestra, The Orlando Concert Band and The Lake Saxophone Quartet. Victor is recognized for the Latin flavor in his music.
