SUMMARY:Sheila Ford headlines November 4th at House of Henry
DESCRIPTION:This week’s concert once again features the fabulous styling of singer Sheila Ford. \n\n\n\nSheila Ford has dazzled audiences for several decades with a voice that glistens like a string of pearls\, in nearly every musical style-Jazz\, including funk\, blues\, pop\, disco\, rock\, and country as well as musical theater. \n\n\n\nA Baltimore native and a Berklee College of Music alumna\, Sheila has performed at Blues Alley\, Kennedy Center\, New York’s Dizzy’s Club\, The Lincoln Center\, San Antonio’s Jazz Texas\, and concerts across the globe. Over the past few years\, Sheila has been headlining on cruise ships featuring her show\, the “Tina Turner Experience.” Her voice is featured in over one hundred recordings\, including her own\, titled “Here You Are”. \n\n\n\n Accompanying Sheila will be pianist Luke Pinegar and bassist Steve Gilmore\, a Grammy award-winning musician known for his work with Phil Woods\, Tony Bennett\, and others.

SUMMARY:Mike Levine and Steve Gilmore at the House of Henry
DESCRIPTION:Miami pianist Mike Levine is a man of many talents whose career is a blend of different aspects of music. He attended the University of Miami\, where he formed a group with Billy Ross. They released their first album “That Summer Something” in 1981\, which featured guitarist Pat Metheny. \n\n\n\nMike’s own band has been the opening act for such well-known artists as Michael Franks\, Gato Barbieri\, Dionne Warwick\, and many others. He has also performed with many major jazz artists such as Pat Metheny\, Will Lee\, Mel Torme\, Nat Adderley\, and Ira Sullivan. He has also toured world-wide with Raul Diblasio. Mike has released four albums of his own \, the latest being ” Just Chillin “. \n\n\n\n Bassist Steve Gilmore is a three time Grammy award winner for Jazz performance and is best known for his 40+ years association with Jazz alto Saxophonist Phil Woods. Steve\, however\, has also performed with many other artists  including Tony Bennett\, guitarist Jim Hall\, Michel Legrand\, Tom Waits\, Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra\, to name just a few. Steve has performed on over 150 Jazz recordings\, including three under his own name plus nine Jamey Aebersold Instructional CDs with two published Steve Gilmore Bass Line Books.
