Ready to have some FUN with JAZZ?
Then you need to be at the House of Bourbon on Tuesday, April 19th as your friends at Gulf Jazz Society present Cheryl Jones, live!
The theme of Cheryl’s two live sets on this night will be “Fun with Jazz”. And if anyone knows how to do that, it’s Cheryl Jones.
She’ll also feature tributes to two legends of jazz, Ella Fitzgerald and Chick Corea. If you’ve ever heard Cheryl sing, scat and play the 88’s, you know that she’ll do both of these greats proud.
Cheryl will be backed by her longtime bassist (and husband) Denny Jones, Brent Purcell on drums and a special guest appearance by Grammy Award-winning bassist Steve Gilmore.
Music begins at 6:30. Doors open at 5:00 PM. First come-first seated. Come early, enjoy dinner, maybe a great cocktail or two and watch the sun go down over St. Andrews Bay.
And, once again, no cover charge! This great evening of live jazz is on us, your friends at Gulf Jazz Society.
The House of Bourbon features a full bar with an incredible selection of whiskeys (as you might expect with a name like theirs). They also offer a “bar menu” featuring appetizers and hand-helds like burgers and fish tacos. The full Shrimp Boat menu will also be available.
There’s a trick to getting to The House of Bourbon. It’s located at the very back of The Shrimp Boat, on the bay side of the restaurant. Enter via the Oyster Bar or Barefoot on the Bay and take the elevator to the 2nd floor. When the doors open, you’ll be there!
