Gulf Jazz Society Concert presents Guitarist Andrew Tinch

Panhandle native Andrew Tinch is a guitarist in the Washington D.C area. He is a graduate of the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami, holding a degree in Jazz Guitar Performance and a minor in the Music Business and Entertainment Industries. Andrew refined his musical expertise under esteemed instructors such as John Hart, Dr Stephan Guerra, and Etienne Charles. As a freelance musician in North and South Florida, he has collaborated with acclaimed artists, including Grammy award-winning djembe artist, Weedie Braimah, internationally renowned steel pannist Leon Foster Thomas, and Grammy award winner Bassist Steve Gilmore. In 2023, Tinch was recognized by Downbeat Magazine for outstanding performance in the Blues/Rock/Pop category in the annual Downbeat Student Music Awards. Currently residing in D.C., Andrew is the guitarist with the prestigious US Air Force Band, Singing Sergeants, showcasing his exceptional talent on a national stage. He also has performed with Max Impact, the Air Force’s premier rock band, and has also toured with the world-renowned big band, The Airmen of Note.

Andrew will be joined in a duo setting with three-time Grammy award winning bassist Steve Gilmore

Andrew will be performing Monday at the House of Henry in Panama City, from 6:30 pm to 9 pm. Admission is still $10. The House of Henry is located at 461 Harrison Ave in Panama City.
