Just down the road a couple of blocks from our old venue, we’re pleased to announce that Jazz Nights will now take place at The House of Bourbon.
Sitting on the top floor of the Shrimp Boat Restaurant and featuring a spectacular view of St. Andrews Bay, The House of Bourbon has a very groovy, rustic jazz club vibe, a larger stage, a dance floor and seating capacity for over 100 jazz fans with plenty of elbow room left over to kick back and enjoy the music.
The House of Bourbon features a full bar with an incredible selection of whiskeys (as you might well expect with a name like theirs). They also offer a “bar menu” featuring appetizers and hand-helds like burgers and fish tacos. The full Shrimp Boat menu will also be available.
There’s a trick to getting to The House of Bourbon. It’s located at the very back of The Shrimp Boat, on the bay side of the restaurant. Enter via the Oyster Bar or Barefoot on the Bay and take the elevator to the 2nd floor. When the doors open, you’ll be there!
Needless to say, we are very excited about our new home. And we hope to see you there for our official “housewarming” on Tuesday, March 29th when we debut Jazz Night at The House of Bourbon with an Allstar quartet.
Mike Levine Returns with Allstar Quartet for House of Bourbon Debut
On Tuesday, March 29th, featured artist Mike Levine, that master of the 88’s returns, hot on the heels of the release of his latest single, “Miami” that’s currently in rotation on Sirius XM’s Watercolor station.
Mike will be joined onstage (did I mention a much larger stage at The House of Bourbon?) by master sax-man Victor Payano, Grammy Award-winning bassist Steve Gilmore, with drummer Brent Purcell laying down the beats.
Music starts at 6:30. No reservations required. First come-first seated.
AND….are you ready for this? Admission is FREE!
You read that right. In these tough economic times where it seems like the price of everything is going up, your friends at Gulf Jazz Society are doing their part to reverse inflation and bring live jazz to as many people as possible. So keep that admission fee in your pocket. (Or use it to buy some terrific food and libation at the HoB!)
So call all your jazzy friends and let’s make our House of Bourbon debut a real house party!
