Camara Kambon – April 8th at the House of Henry

Camara Kambon is an American Jazz pianist, film composer, music producer, and songwriter. At age 23, he became the youngest composer to receive a national Emmy award for scoring the HBO film “Sonny Liston”: The Mysterious Life and Death of a Champion. He has received three Emmy nominations, three Grammy nominations, and a BMI Pop Award and Film/TV Award. As a pianist, he has performed with Dizzy Gillespie, Roy Hargrove, Delfeayo Marsalis, Roberta Flack, Gary Bartz, and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, to list a few. The trio will consist of Camar Kambon on piano, Steve Gilmore on bass (three-time Grammy winner), and Brent Purcell on drums. It’s all at the usual place, the House of Henry in Panama City.
