George Petropoulous headlines September 13 Gulf Jazz Society event

The Gulf Jazz Society continues its tradition of bringing great Jazz musicians to Bay County next week with the trumpet artistry of George “Bepopolous” Petropoulous performing a tribute to the innovator of “Cool Jazz”, Chesney Henry “Chet” Baker Jr. Chet Baker was known as the “Prince of Cool”.

George Petropoulos is a multi-instrumentalist originally from New York city, now residing in Pensacola. He is proficient as both a trumpeter and keyboardist in a wide variety of musical styles and genres. Professional occupations outside of music have more recently included owning rental properties and pool life-guarding. Current hobbies include swimming, yoga, and go-go dancers. Though usually serious in demeanor, he has been known on occasion to “cut the fool” on the bandstand from having too much fun. Look out! This is a force to be reckoned with!

This September 13, 2023 event will be held at the Historic Roberts Hall in Lynn Haven at 831 Florida Avenue in half a mile north of the 77 and 360 traffic lights and then one block west on 9th Street. (which is also one block west of the Lynn Haven City Hall.)
