Sunday is devoted to the young jazz students in Bay County.  One of the missions of the Gulf Jazz Society for 25 years has been to further the Jazz music training of the music students in our middle and high schools.  We give scholarships to promising Jazz music students every year.  This year we awarded $3,000 with the financial help of several precious benefactors… $500 each to six students so they could attend a one week summer jazz band camp.  A recipient of one of those grants several years ago, Andrew Tench is graduating from the Frost School of Music and will become a member of the prestigious United States Air Force band based in Washington, DC.

Our schedule for Sunday afternoon starts at 1:00pm with the Jesse Reese Arnold High School Jazz Combo, then followed by the Arnold High School Jazz Orchestra/band.

REMEMBER ITS FREE ALL WEEKEND…..BRING YOUR LAWN CHAIRS OR A BLANKET.
