Gulf Jazz Society concert September 8th at the House of Henry by popular demand presents pianist, vocalist, Luke Pinegar, with special guest guitarist-vocalist Jimmy Ward.
Born in northern Alabama, multi-instrumentalist Luke Pinegar has been bringing his soulful music to the Gulf Coast and beyond for many years. With a mixture of Otis Redding, a dose of gospel, and the music of jazz greats such as Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, and Louis Armstrong, Luke puts his own stamp on the music he plays and sings.
Special guest guitarist and vocalist Jimmy Ward covers any genre from Pat Metheny to Ray Charles, Sting, Elton John, the Beatles, and Tony Bennett.
Rounding out the trio will be three-time Grammy Winner Steve Gilmore, whose credits include performing with Phil Woods, Tony Bennett, Jim Hall, and Tom Waits to name a few.
Admission is still just $10. The performance runs from 6:30 to 9:00 pm
