…as Gulf Jazz Society presents a holiday themed jazz blast at Alices on Bayview with trumpet-master Allen Beeson! This final Jazz Night at Alice’s event for 2021 takes place, Monday, December 13th beginning at 6:30 PM
Allen comes to us with a stellar resume’, have played alongside the likes of Clark Terry, Buddy DeFranco, Randy Brecker and Dizzy Gillespie. (How GOOD do you have to be to play trumpet with Dizzy Gillespie???)
He’s also backed singers like Ray Charles, Tom Jones, Mel Torme’ and Olivia Newton-John.
Allen will be backed by a trio of local All-Stars including Ray Hitchell on keys, Grammy Award winner Steve Gilmore on bass and Charles Pagano on drums.
Allen also has a couple of his own albums to his credit including his debut LP, “First Time Out” and his most recent collection from 2019, “Tell Me Again”.
Tickets are $10 for Jazz Society members, $15 for non-members. No reservations. First come – first seated. Music begins at 6:30.
