Gulf Jazz Society Concert will feature vocalist Luke Pinegar, also playing saxophone and trumpet.
Born in northern Alabama, Luke has been bringing his soulful music to the Gulf Coast and beyond for many years. But in this concert, he will be stepping out front not only as a vocalist, but as a wonderful instrumentalist performing on the saxophone and trumpet. He will be performing from the Great American songbook and the music of such greats as Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole, and Otis Redding. Pinegar will be joined by Miami-born pianist Mike Levine, who has performed with such greats as Michael Brecker, Toots Theilman, Nat Adderly, and Ira Sullivan, to name just a few.
Also playing will be three-time Grammy Award winner, bassist Steve Gilmore, who has performed and recorded with Phil Woods, Tony Bennett, Tom Waits, and Jim Hall and others.
The location is the House of Henry, at 461 Harrison Avenue in Panama City. The performance will be from 6:30 to 9:00 pm. Admission is $10
Please note that during the street construction there is still ample parking by the rear entrance. However, the handicapped entrance is through the front door.
